Amino Acid Intravenous (IV) Therapy – Alcohol and Drug Rehab

Most addicts can’t talk their way out of an addiction.

An addiction is a craving for a substance, but it also refers to a tolerance, meaning the addict constantly needs higher doses to achieve the effect. That’s because the brain has neuro-receptors that receive signals from natural neurotransmitters like dopamine, serotonin and norepinephrine, the so-called “feel good” brain chemicals.
Drugs and alcohol mimic this effect, but they over-stimulate the nerves and damage the very receptors they are stimulating. Then it takes more of the drug to get past the damage and achieve the high.

And, because the damaged receptors are no longer functioning well, the person is left feeling depressed or anxious. Then they use more of the drug to overcome these feelings and become trapped in a vicious downward spiral.

Why not just stop using the drug?

If someone tries to stop using the drug, the cravings and withdrawal symptoms are frequently overwhelming because the nervous system has become dependent upon the over-stimulation.

What do amino acids do?

The NORA formula is a proprietary blend of  amino acids (the building blocks that make up all the proteins in our bodies) given intravenously, which actually rebuild the damaged areas of the brain. These basic amino acids are specially formulated to be able to penetrate and positively influence the brain.

Because the amino acids give the brain what it craves in a natural non habit forming way while rebuilding the neurotransmitters, the cravings begin to recede very rapidly. In our experience, the cravings are usually gone within the first three days, with very few (if any) withdrawal symptoms.

What is the process like?

The 10 day treatment  can include:
• Doctor’s intake and a physical exam
• 2 to 3 hours of amino acid IVs each morning for 10 consecutive days

Optional Additions :
• Counseling (recommended)
• Acupuncture (using the NADA protocol)
• Massages
• Classes

The amino acid drip is administered each morning by a registered nurse. Clients can relax in your comfortable lounge, read or watch movies.

Some long term users of pain pills and benzodiazapines may require a few more days of therapy. Your programs can be extended to accomodate such clients.

The treatment program is a 10, 15 or 21 day intravenous drip of all natural amino acids prescribed by a Doctor and administered by a Registered Nurse. All IVs last two to three hours a day. We recommend having  a comfortable lounge area with recliners, television, and wireless internet access for your clients  to relax in while receiving the treatment.
